The Relationship Between Anger, Moral Distress, and Self-esteem in Nurses

Introduction: Due to stressful work conditions, nurses are constantly exposed various emotions and stressors such as anger moral distress that threaten their mental health. On the other hand, self-esteem is one of personality traits essential for people's health improving performance. Objective: The present study investigates relationship between anger, distress, in nurses. Materials Methods: This analytical correlational was conducted on working hospitals affiliated with non-profit organization Mazandaran Social Security Insurance from August November 2018. Two hundred were selected this via stratified random sampling. data collected using Cooper-Smith inventory, Hamric scale, state-trait expression inventory. analyzed Mann-Whitney Kruskal-Wallis tests, path analysis used testing conceptual model. Results: mean±SD age 36.24±5.37 years. mean ±SD self-esteem, scores 113.68 ± 15.04, 26.61 3.49, 65.66 35.88, respectively. results model suggested an inverse causal (P<0.05). also indicated a significant (P=0.01).
